Meadow Starter Kit - British Wild Flowers & Grasses

Create your own meadow from scratch with this pollinator & insect friendly mixture of perennial and annual wild flowers and meadow grasses. 20% wild flowers, 80% meadow grasses, no filler. Packet contains 40g of seed, which covers 10sq.m plus. 

Our seed is sourced from Emorsgate Seeds, the oldest and largest grower of British wild flowers who supply seed to King Charles. 

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

Either spread the seed onto bare soil with any weeds dug out and removed or into existing grass by cutting the grass very short and scarify with a rake to expose at least 50% soil, removing all the cuttings and excess vegetation. Best sown in the autumn or spring but can be done at other times of the year if there is sufficient warmth and moisture.

You should get a wonderful display of colourful annual wild flowers from the first growing season with the perennial wildflowers flowering year after year. Mow at the end of summer and remove the cuttings. The meadow can be mown until mid-spring each year. The meadow should flower from May to September.
